Asheville Campus Entertainment (ACE) is UNC Asheville’s student-led, student-funded campus programming board, hosting a wide array of events for the student community. Previously known as Underdog Productions, ACE provides students fun, engaging, and educational events to get involved with before, between, and after classes around the UNC Asheville campus. From UNCA’s annual end-of-year celebration, Lawn Party, to regular movie showings, there’s something for everyone!

What programs does ACE plan?
From crafting tables and open mic nights to movie showings and grab-and-go snacks, ACE wants to meet you where you’re at and provide you fun, interactive, and engaging programs along the way! All ACE programs are open to and planned for the entire UNC Asheville student community! Ready to celebrate the end of the academic year? Check out ACE’s annual Lawn Party! Want to show off your hidden talent? Put it on display at UNCA’s Got Talent! Looking to kick back and relax? Head out to any of our regular movie showings around campus! ACE events widely vary from semester to semester, so follow us for regular updates.
Does it cost to participate in or attend ACE programs?
For the most part, no! Unless there is an additional fee advertised, then all ACE events are free to UNC Asheville students. Examples of events that have previously required an additional expense includes off-campus trips, such as movie premiers and regional gatherings or conferences.
Where is ACE located?
The ACE Office is located in Highsmith Student Union on the Student Life Porch on the second floor of the building. The ACE Office (219) is open during regular Student Union hours!
How can I join ACE?
ACE is always welcoming new members! No previous experience with programming or event planning is necessary. All you need is a good attitude, a good work ethic, and a sense of humor and we’ll provide you with the rest! ACE General Meetings take place on Monday nights at 9 p.m. in the ACE Office.
