Asheville Campus Entertainment (ACE)

Asheville Campus Entertainment (ACE) is UNC Asheville’s student-led, student-funded campus programming board, hosting a wide array of events for the student community.  ACE aspires to establish transformational experiences and a deep sense of belonging to all UNC Asheville students. Asheville Campus Entertainment educates and entertains the entire UNC Asheville campus community through diverse, enriching, and engaging programming and opportunities.  From live performance nights to Highsmith After Dark to movie nights on the Quad, there is something for everyone!

What annual programs does ACE plan?

From crafting tables and open mic nights to movie showings and grab-and-go snacks, ACE wants to meet you where you are and provide you fun, interactive, and engaging programs along the way! All ACE programs are open to and planned for the entire UNC Asheville student community!  Want to dance it out and celebrate Queer Pride?  Join us for one of our Drag Shows.  Ready to commemorate the end of the academic year? Check out ACE’s annual Lawn Party! Want to show off your hidden talent? Put it on display at one of our Fri-YAY Open Mic Nights!  Want to get creative?  Join us for Sip and Paint or Stuff a Plush.   ACE events widely vary from semester to semester, so follow us on Instagram for regular updates!

Does it cost to participate in or attend ACE programs?

Unless there is an additional fee advertised, then all ACE events are free to UNC Asheville students. Examples of events that have previously required an additional expense includes off-campus trips, such as movie premiers and regional gatherings or conferences.

Where is ACE located?

The ACE Office is located in Highsmith Student Union on the second floor of the building. The ACE Office (219) is open during regular Student Union hours!

How can I join ACE?

ACE is always welcoming new members! No previous experience with programming or event planning is necessary. All you need is a positive attitude, a good work ethic, and a sense of humor, and we’ll provide you with the rest! ACE General Body Meetings take place every other Monday evening from 6:00-7:00pm.  General Body Meetings are open to anybody and everybody, including those who are interested in being a part of ACE in the future!
